Limited roadside parking at the trailhead on South Road in Lempster. Nice vista of Sand Pond and Huntley Mountain even before you start hiking. South Road gets a tiny bit rougher after the last house, but is fine for any vehicle. |

A wonderful short bang for your buck hike. Easy walking along woods roads half way, then a foot path, easy to moderate grades. Silver's summit is open and ledgy, with excellent, almost 360 degree views. What a great spot! Interesting old etchings in the ledge, and there's a combo cairn / bench at the high point where you can relax and take in the views. Lots of blueberry bushes up here which I will remember for next year. :) |
