|Hiking Trail Conditions Report|
||Welch Mountain, Dickey Mountain, NH|
||Welch-Dickey Loop Trail|
|Date of Hike:
||Monday, October 2, 2017|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Dry Trail |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||Very low. |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||On Welch side, a chain saw widowmaker about 0.1 to 0.2 miles from the trailhead. On the Dickey side, a chain saw sized stepover less than a mile from the trailhead.
Some rock steps getting loose from the dry conditions and heavy use. Also noting a lot of trail creep avoiding some of the rock work, which could cause it to get undermined if not corrected. |
|Lost and Found:
||Loop trail was about as dry as it gets. No mud of note, nor any wet ledge.|
Foliage in early stages of turning, but seeming to dry out rather than go vivid in color. Some red maple and hobblebush, but other leaves simply turning brown.
