Comments: A HUGE thank you to Rocket21 for his October 6 NETC trip report for Mt Prospect - directions were excellent. I had tried to find the Miser's Cave in the past and could not. I am pretty sure Jeremy is right - this is the cave. A bit sketchy getting down to the entrance - I was afraid of other holes between the granite slabs. Looks like you could climb down into it but I wasn't sure I'd get back out. It opens downward - room for a couple people I guess.

From there I went to the other small bumps just north of the cave - trail was sketchy with cairns here and there and then none at all in places.... a bit wet in the woods but always a neat place to visit.

Found a window of light/no precip late morning and am very happy I got this hike in. Colors in the valley and towards Mt Livermore were outstanding!!!!!
