Comments
Comments: A windy and cold day up on Cardigan! Trails were in great shape with little run off, and quite a bit of chipmunk activity. The tower was closed, and temperatures were chilly enough to freeze large puddles and send frozen dew flying off the tower.

These trails seem consciously structured to handle erosion control, and could be a great model for other state parks (i.e. Mount Major) to help stop washouts before they become sizable issues.

The foliage was at peak with beautiful pops of red mingling with pops of yellow.
