Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Headwaters of Mill Brook. Stepstones still in place.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Cleaned 15 drains of leaf dams etc. Dug several new bleeders to shunt water off trail. New erosion from 4.3" of rain was minimal even though these drains were not cleaned since Spring. Likely that is due to the low volume of traffic on this trail. Bushwhacked over to West Ridge Trail just above the bog but below the waterfall, then descended. Cleaned drains handled the rain as designed, only new erosion was where fire pond brook crosses trail at stone cross-drain: brook overran causeway.
