Rock hopping today, a little tricky with some ice forming, but no wet feet. Ice starting to bridge, but not walkable yet. |

Clean trail all day. No cairn or other marker on North Kinsman summit. |

| Lost and Found: |
Purple-ish reading glasses. Left on a prominent rock in the middle of the trail between North and South Kinsman peaks. Hope the owner spotted them. Hiker passing was going to notify the family ahead that I think they belonged to. |

| Comments: |
Increased ice and light snow cover as we climbed higher. No need for anything more than light traction, though. Eric and I made it through the day happily with just micros. Trail was trekked out well. Had seen plenty of travel. No more than a few inches of snow on the ridge. Butt sliding required here and there on the way down. No call for snowshoes yet. In fact, snowshoes would have been a bad choice today. Need several more inches of snow first. Ice is the biggest challenge at the moment. |
