I brought my snowshoes thinking/hoping there would be enough snow but unfortunately there wasn't.
Snow started to appear maybe 2 miles in, for the next 1.5-2 it rose to maybe 4 inches. Packed on trail but it was (surprisingly) in the mid 40's for most of the hike so this made the snow a little wet, no traction required. The last mile up to the intersection with Garfield Ridge trail and up to the summit, there was about 6 inches of. Definitely recommend crampons for the descent at this part. Summit was super windy but very clear and beautiful. Up and down in 4 hours exactly, nothing troubling |
