Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Rock-hoppable. Major brook crossing is starting to freeze over. Used micro's to cross.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: This is our, GayOutdoors.org, adopted trail. Kudos to those who cleared the trails ahead of us- amazing job! Five of us went up with our saws and cleared some minor step overs and duck unders all the way to Mt. Osceola. The summit of east peak has a number of blowdowns that make the main trail impassable. Now, the trail meanders to the right of the summit cairn and joins the main trail. We cleared this minor reroute to make it more obvious. These are chainsaw sized blowdowns so we'll let the forest service assess if they should be removed.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw a couple of dogs having fun.
Bugs
Bugs: Finally, none.

Comments
Comments: Wore micro's the entire way. We didn't bother with the chimney and headed up the bypass. We went down the bypass as well. Trail was icy in steeper sections - made good use of some trees. Micro's were enough. Toward Osceola summit there was more snow which made traction easier. Can't wait for more snow!
