Comments
Comments: Fallen leaves and slippery patches of ice characterized the first third of Pine Bend, turning to crusty snow for good traction with spikes on the middle third, and then looser snow up high. The snow was decent on the steeps, but much more is needed for fill and snowshoes. We did an out-and-back, but it looked like Sabbaday Brook also had good traffic, as had Scauer Ridge from Livermore.
