| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I parked in a small lot (2 other cars) with room for about 8. From what I've read there must be a larger lot nearby. Been nearly 20 years since I've been on this side. |

Bare booted for a while then put on rock spikes until back at Carriage/Glencliff jct. on way down. Hillsound pro trail crampons went on at this point and stayed on until down to the water crossings. Lower section easily barebooted but lots of ice from there on up. I wouldn't have felt comfortable with just Katoolha spikes going down the steeps (however other 2 hikers from this side I believe managed with just spikes). 3 others seen had come up Beaver Brook and were going out Hurricane route and said there were a few sketchy spots on Beaver Brook but manageable. Highly suggest bringing good traction. Snowshoes totally unnecessary today unlike the Bonds area last Sunday. |
