Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Still tons of blowdown between South Carter and Zeta Pass, however those who have removed many limbs and smaller blowdowns have made it much easier to pass. Still expect a few crawl unders, crawl overs, walk around etc. May even need to remove your pack for one in a particularly poor spot. Huge thanks to those who have done this work.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Tucker had a blast in his first snow of the year. Saw three other pups out enjoying the day as well.

Comments
Comments: Dry clear trail up to about the junction of Imp and North Carter. I bare booted to the ridge but traction could be used, Traction required on the ridge due to very icy conditions. Used spikes across ridge and a short ways down Carter Dome. There is an inch or so of crusty snow across most of the ridge helping with grip. Some icy spots the entire way out to parking lot but avoidable for the most part with bare boots. All this will change tonight obviously.
