Zealand Rd is closed - it's a 2.5 mile road walk to the Hale Brook trail head. There were patches of ice under a light coating of powdery snow on the road. |

| Comments: |
Light coating of powdery snow over patches of ice for the first 1/4-1/2 mile of the trail. More ice patches and slightly deeper powdery snow as elevation increases. Snowshoes >not< needed, microspikes are though. |
