Comments
Comments: Currently great conditions! The storm from mid-week last week has basically covered everything from trailhead to summits (just some exposed rock on the steep parts of Mt Osceola Trail ascending E Osceola) and some snowshoers have packed out the trail pretty well at the moment. The weather was cold enough (temps in single digits) that we were able to use only microspikes and crampons without leaving postholes. The crampons definitely had better footing on the steep parts than the microspikes!

The typical "side trail" around the chimney between the Osceolas was manageable; it looks like some folks had taken/made a slightly further out "side trail" around the chimney which may have been safer.

I'd recommend bringing snowshoes and microspikes/crampons.
