Comments
Comments: Wore snow shoes from about a mile in on LW and left them on for the remainder of the day. Followed tracks until about a quarter mile beyond Black Pond, where it appears that whoever went before me decided they'd rather turn around than go all the way. From there, it was 6" or so of new snow on top of the previously established foot path. Black Pond 'whack is in good shape and super easy to follow (no spurs/diversions). Brutus is also great, though it was a chore to break. A few big blow downs on the way up, but nothing you can't get past. Lots of drifting on top of the ridge, and I'm sure it's already filled in again. Herdpath wasn't the easiest to follow on top of the ridge, so be careful.
