Comments
Comments: Snowshoes from car to car today. OBP was hardly broken out due to the storm — only one couple about an hour ahead of us did the nasty trailbreaking (thank you!!). We started around 10am, and with the trail conditions the way that they were, we were going at about a 1 mph pace. We didn’t reach the hut until about 1:30, and the summits were all socked in. We tried a summit attempt but turned around at the rock formation just below the summit due to visibility and time. Unfortunately for us the skies cleared up when we got below treeline again. The trail is well packed down now but won’t be for long after tomorrow’s storm. Good day out but another failed attempt at crossing the ridge in winter
