Started at the Bangor St trailhead with the temps about -5F in snowshoes. Trail was already broken out the whole way. Plenty of snow - all the cairns were buried. Looked like some backcountry skiers had gone up a few days prior as well. There were two other hikers on the trail - both made it to the top with spikes though it didn't look like they were having an easy time. Appeared like there were some previous hikers who'd gone up in spikes since there were post holes in the snow. No wind at the summit and clear views but -10F! |
