Had to park at Five Corners. The highway is plowed extra wide at the gate to Gale River Loop road, presumably for parking for hikers, but we chose not to park there as I think it is technically illegal to park anywhere on paved surface. |

Fully packed out trail, thanks to hikinguy and his crew, who were there on 12/27. We used snowshoes the whole way, though bare boots/microspikes would have sufficed. One guy ahead of us barebooted the whole way, but he did posthole a fair amount on his way down. |
