At least 7 of us joined forces and made it to Eisenhower today. Route finding was tricky just in a couple of spots. (It helps to have done this trail 1,327 times.). Snowshoes are mandatory. We did a bit of smoothing out of the Crawford Path from the get-go since some bare booted or spiked over a not very hard packed trail. Traction was totally unnecessary today, but that will change with the other incoming rain predicted.
Gorgeous day above treeline today. White white white everywhere!! |
