On Sunday, the first and third crossing were fairly easy, the second crossing took some puckering! It's doable and should get easier as the water level drops. BRING YOUR SPIKE!! Required for balancing and hopping from one ice-covered rock to the next. |

Trail in great shape, some maintenance done already. Super easy to follow. |

I was hesitant to hike this on Sunday as I read a report from Saturday of a failed attempt due to water crossing issues. It was touch-n-go over the second crossing, but doable on this day by many hikers. I read most reports saying how easy this hike is, and, relative to all others I've done, it was easier. I haven't hiked since early Oct, so the combination of being out of 'hiking shape' and that last 1-1/2 miles being relentlessly UP, really made this more of a challenge for me than it probably is. Views at the top did not disappoint, great little hike. Easy access, great trail, met some great people along the way. Bring the spike, snow shoes got a ride up and back, never put them on. |
