Comments
Comments: Surprisingly little snow from week before, most had melted but this created additional running water and lots of ice in most places of the trails. No real opportunity/reason for snowshoes on any of the trails I took. I wore spikes and this was absolutely necessary, particularly on the icier/steeper parts of Red Spot. Summit was mostly dry, I removed the spikes on Pumpelly in the col before the summit cone. Less than 10 people at the summit around 2:30pm, 10 deg F with 10mph wind. Overall a great hike.
