Great day to be out. A bit warm for my taste but it was a great day, especially given the last two weekends.
Trail is in good shape. Monorail covered with an inch or three of snow. Some postholes off to the side. Microspikes all the way up easily. Sosman over to the ski area didn’t seem to have been used since the last couple inches of snow. Not too bad though less stable underneath and some postholing here and there. Saw plenty of people on the way back so it should be pretty packed down now. Sun and warmth started to melt some snow in to a bit of slush, bare ground, or a wet top layer of snow towards the bottom in the mid afternoon. Hopefully it all freezes up overnight. |
