Comments
Comments: We broke it out this morning and the trail is in great shape. It felt more like April today and the snow conditions reflected that. There are multiple broken whacks on Black Pond as each group did their own, ultimately converging where they need to be. Ours is the one that's done with snowshoes and goes a little lower on the BP whack, there is two that go high and are bare boot/spikes. Lincoln Woods Trail is a highway to black pond, which is also very broken. Lincoln Brook Trail is also firm and a highway. We broke Brutus out to the summit and then took a slightly more direct route down from Owls Head Path, so you will see two different trails. Each will get you to where you want to be. Trail is bare bootable trailhead to summit after today's 3 groups did it. Snowshoes with televators will help on your ascent.
