Comments
Comments: A great day on the Cats! Carried snowshoes but didn't need them. Wore spikes the entire way. A few icy spots on the steeps going up Wildcat A and along the ridge between peaks, but with careful footing they were easily negotiated. The wind blew us around a bit in spots along the ridge but the trees kept us mostly protected from the really big gusts until we got to the top of Wildcat and were a little more in the open. The quad chair at Wildcat was closed to the summit, so we had the upper mountain to ourselves on the descent. Stayed to the side of th ski trail on the lower half of Polecat, plenty of room for skiers and hikers both.
