Trail was a real mess with postholes on the way up in addition to snow-free/mud patches. I put on snowshoes at 1800' and kept them on to the summit and back down again. Met two other hikers at summit, also snowshoers, so the trail should be in much better shape now. Snow is somewhat slushy, but doesn't snowball under snowshoes. Nice views from summit. I always forget how steep that last mile up is. |
