Comments
Comments: A spectacular day to hike up North and South Kinsman. Trail is packed solid and the cold temps kept everything solid all day. Lonesome lake trail packed solid, Around Lonesome Lake trail is packed with some minor drifts, Fishin' Jimmy trail is packed with minor patches of ice. KRT also solid packed with minor drifting. Wore spikes most of the day. Switched to crampons after a side excursion to Kinsman Pond Shelter not out of need but just to test my new pair out. Wore them all the way up North over to South and back again before switching back to spikes before descending from North peak. It was beautiful on the summits with only a slight breeze. Simply an incredible day with a smile worn ear to ear all day long.
