Comments
Comments: All trails were frozen solid, even with the warmer temps. The ski trail was a sidewalk the whole way. OP has areas of ice descending from North Doublehead and also dropping off the ridge, but there is enough firm snow to offer good traction. NP was less consolidated and choppy but still solid over to South Doublehead. The spur path to the "extra" bumps was the same. I didn't not drop off the ridge on NP, but a couple I talked to came up that way and said it was very icy. As the snow cover melts and loosens, the ice will be more of an issue. Conditions were perfect for spikes round-trip today.

Excellent views from the assorted viewpoints on both peaks. A great day out!
