Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Some of the water crossings on Imp Trail had iffy ice bridges over them. After the warm weather this weekend I would expect them to fully melt.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Blowdowns everywhere. The blowdowns from Middle Carter through Zeta Pass are the worst and expect lots of crawling to get under them. A big one on Imp Trail you have to work your way around it.

Comments
Comments: The weather got nicer as the day went on, but I would say it was probably one of the coldest hikes I have been on with the wind. As long as you were in the trees and moving it actually was a nice day for winter standards. Views were amazing and we could see for miles.

The only real issue to alert hikers about is the blowdowns. They start on Imp and hit their peak after Middle Carter and do not disappear until Zeta Pass. This trail is going to need some serious work come Spring time.
