| Comments: |
I walked the road for about 15 min. and turned onto a skid road blocked by a log. I followed skid roads up hill for a fair distance. The roads had yellow tape that said 'skid trail.' Soon I reached a cut with some great views and began to bushwhack towards the summit. Woods were open at times, with other points of tighter spruce and match-stick, but nothing too bad. From the recognized highpoint, I followed my tracks out.
Snowshoes were necessary the entire way, save the road walk, though I wore them anyway for traction and stability. Snow was firm and supportive with occasional surprise drops. I hit broke more often on the way down. |
