Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Saw a question on VFTT regarding Airline's condition so figured I would post this a bit after the fact. As of 1/14 there were significant blowdowns just below treeline that were only somewhat easily passed because the snow was not postholing at this elevation on or off trail (it was below 0 real degrees on the 14th). One could try to pass with snowshoes but it would be hard-going and potentially dangerous. Would only recommend for those who love the punishment!

Comments
Comments: For what it's worth, we needed snowshoes up until around 3K, then crampons/micros until treeline. Most of above treeline was free of ice but Micros helped due to some stray black ice on some rocks. No need to comment on Valley Way's conditions.
