Comments
Comments: The trail was firm enough in the AM that we were able to wear spikes all the way to the summit. We were first up, and a dusting of fresh snow starting around three thousand feet covered the trail - lots of animal tracks. We kept the spikes on part-way back down. Trail was very soft in the lower sections after the switchbacks by the afternoon so the snowshoes went on at that point and stayed on for the rest of the hike out...made a big difference. Great hike!
