Comments
Comments: Skied up Zealand Road, which has seen some traffic, but the road is still soft (snowshoes or skis recommended). Drifts in open areas. Switched to snowshoes and broke out Hale Brook Trail that had 6 inches of new snow. Tricky on the side slope before the half way point. Aggressive snowshoes needed. Bluebird day but windy at the summit. Fire wardens Trail and Lend a Hand Trail were not broken out. Saw a few people on the way down, all wearing snowshoes, except one couple wearing microspikes who were making the trail a lumpy mess. Trail is still soft, please wear snowshoes. Ski down on Zealand Road was fun and fast!
