Comments
Comments: About a half an inch to an inch of new powder from the recent storm over an ice base made for some slippery footing, even in spikes. The last steep pitch up to south peak was tricky due to loose, sugary snow over ice. I slowly and carefully picked my way up and down this section, and wished I'd brought crampons for piece of mind. They wouldn't be overkill. I carried snowshoes in case they were needed on the ridge, but they weren't.

The side trail was lightly broken out by one person who stopped short of the furthest ledges. I continued the rest of the way. Several people out today, so all trails are broken out well until the next weather event.

Windy and cold on south peak, but hardly any wind at all and bright sun made it comfortable to hang out on north peak for a bit.
