Comments
Comments: This doesn't count as a serious attempt at Owl's Head summit, but I noticed that Black Pond is no longer tracked out. I took a few snowshoe steps from Lincoln Woods towards Black Pond, and my shoes were sinking in a bit. Probably a lot of work, although it's likely that the Black Pond Bushwhack is still visible but covered with blown snow or blocked by the weekend rain.
Franconia Falls is tracked out. No sign that anyone has tracked out the Fisherman's Path.
Much of Lincoln Woods is bare bootable, or passable with microspikes. The rest is the usual snowshoe superhighway, with minor postholing the farther you are from the parking lot. A few sections of ski tracks, quickly rejoining the main snowshoe track.
