icy. put spikes on as soon as we got out of the car. |

water level was low. easily rock hopped or walk thru. |

one very large oak that has split and is leaning over the trail. easily walked under, but probably should be taken down. |

Carrigain was a busy place today. wore spikes RT, as did most hikers. snowshoes went for a ride. trail is hard packed, though lumpy in some spots with some very deep post holes. no ice and the drifts on the open section on the ridge were minimal. |
