Comments
Comments: One person had been on Valley Way yesterday. The trail was broken out but not consolidated. The snow is loose and fluffy the higher up one climbs. Some minor drifting near the hut, but not bad. Adams cone was mostly loose snow with some styrofoam and hidden ice. In pretty good shape. Madison's cone was better, with very little hidden ice. Three of us switched to snowshoes after the first 1/2 mile, and keep them on all day. One started out in skis, but switched to crampons for the rest of the day. We saw some hikers at the jct with Airline and Gulfside, but they turned around and headed back down airline. No other hikers on our route today.

Sunny conditions all day with some breezes on the summits, but not very windy today at all. Great day out with Bill Marcotte, Laura Stuart (Lucky Laura) and Andrea G.
