Comments
Comments: Route: We walked along corridor 155, heading north to 157, which we turned onto. We followed 157 to a height of land south of Mt. Kineo. We bushwhacked a few tenths to the Mt. Kineo Hiking trail, which was easy to follow to the height of land. We followed the ridge to Kineo's recognized summit. After returning in our tracks to the height of land, we followed the ridge to East Kineo, skirting to the north of some minor bumps. There was one small cliff just above the final col, which we worked around with ease. We soon found a snowmobile driven road coming in from the north, which turned east and brought us within a couples tenths of the recognized highpoint. To return, we bushwhacked southwest from the highpoint for a little less than two miles to 157, a couple tenths north of 155. Entire route was a little over 11 miles.

Woods: Woods were nice and open, save for some very brief thick sections on the ridge over to the east peak.

Snow: snowshoes were the tool of choice, as snowmobile trails were soft. Snow in the woods was almost always supportive except for occasional punching when in open woods at the end of the day as the surface warmed up. Balling was never a major issue.

Thanks Bill for another good one.
