| Comments: |
Windy day in the whites, limited visibility above 4000 ft. Trail has some post holes near the top, but it was microspikes all the way up to the summit and back to Madison Springs hut. Above treeline on Madison had limited snow/ice, some folks bare booted, but I was glad to have spikes on a couple of times. Switched to crampons for the descent, until about 1.5 miles out when the trail flattened out and rocks/roots were showing themselves more prominently. |
