Comments
Comments: Ice. lots and lots of ice. Trail was very easy up until the pool. The steep section had every kind of ice you could imagine. I saw people going both ways with microspikes. I used 3/4" crampons and wished I had more aggressive ones on the descent, but was OK with an ice ax.

If you haven't done this trail . . . the first part is a nice gentle rise along the river in the ravine to a beautiful waterfall and pool. It rises relentlessly and steeply after that. Mostly frozen, icy snow with many areas of sheer ice.
