| Comments: |
Mixed bag of trail conditions in lower elevations. Everything from bare rocks/mud to breakable crusty ice to mashed potato snow. Things softened up even more later in the day. As you gain elevation monorail is in good shape except for some choppy sections and off monorail post-holes in between Starr King and Waumbek. Super stable and even a fresh coating to an inch of snow along the ridge. Spikes were fine all day, and softer snow in lower elevations don't really warrant snowshoes. Monitor forecast for upcoming noreaster as conditions are likely to change over the next couple days. |
