Comments
Comments: Great late afternoon hike with Jason. Bare boots and spikes worked well. Occasional punching through. LW is a packed super highway, brutus was wet, muddy and soft but easily followed. FBT was about the same. Crossings are a tad sketchy as snow bridges are unstable with lots of water moving under. Brutus was leaves and sticks at beginning and slushy snow middle to end. Herd path to summit had some firm monorail. Don't believe the cairn that's built for summit. It's actually right before that. Another awesome afternoon spent in the Whites.
