Comments
Comments: There is about an inch of snow and ice, very crusty and breakable on the Whiteface Mountain Trail from trailhead to summit. This was very easily hiked in microspikes, but could also have been done in bare boots. In small patches there is standing water underneath a thin layer of ice. There is some minor crusty ice along the Whiteface-Piper link and a lot of exposed rock but still great for microspikes.

Overall a windy but warm day with overcast skies and great views of the Whites, especially from the bare summit of Whiteface Mountain.
