|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Between a combination of the Engine Hill bushwhack and a short bushwhack on the East side of Rocky Branch, you can avoid all but one of the crossings (although we did not realize that until too late and made two extra crossings). Final crossing was solidly bridged. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Nothing of note. Just a few step-overs. The current Engine Hill bushwhack takes you through a lot of closely-bunched evergreens. Watch your eyes. |

Did not see one. |

| Comments: |
Engine Hill bushwhack is broken out and pretty easy to follow. It splits in places. We stayed right heading in,taking the higher ground. Getting sloppy in a few places. We used spikes throughout but snowshoes would not have been overkill. Note that, as it approached Davis Path, the Isolation Trail swings left a bit, and therefore comes out South of the actual trail junction.
Happy, relatively small crowd on the summit. Congrats to Denise for finishing her Winter 48! |
