| Comments: |
Temps hovering around 32 with some flurries. Smooth sailing with micros to the loop split, after which we ascended up a very fresh, half-mile long butt-slide to South Hancock. Why didn't we put on snowshoes for the ascent? We are still asking ourselves. SS made our descent from North Hancock much more stable on, once again, freshly glissaded trails. Back to micros at the loop split.
Lots of folks out there yesterday, wearing everything from true crampons, mountaineering boots, snowshoes and micros. Saw some REAL sleds coming down the mountain. Spring fever? |
