Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Gale Meadows Rd CLOSED. Haystack RD CLOSED. Little River Rd OPEN, park respectfully, removed crampons and spike on private bridge, then follow green square for trail to Haystack Rd Trailhead.

Surface Conditions: Wet Trail, Ice - Blue, Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Wet/Slippery Rock, Ice - Breakable Crust, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Stable), Snow - Wet/Sticky, Snow/Ice - Postholes

Recommended Equipment: Light Traction 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Avoid two crossings by bushwhacking to east of stream for .5 mile. Two sticks helps the final crossing, unless you're carrying a 75# dog.

Comments: Clear enough on drive in that we thought Lafayette looked like Mt Washington.

Firm smow, older, fresh-sharpened MicroSpikes were great. Snow mostly firm along the monorail, windless at the sunny summit.
