Snowshoes car to car today. Nice snowshoe trench as 11 went up and 6 came down all in snowshoes. The other 5 were headed to Garfield tent site so Garfield Ridge broken out that way as well. One set of shoe tracks headed up South Twin (looked like from Friday). If I were repeating this hike tomorrow I'd use shoes again as trails are not packed down and new snow and snow blowing down from trees will add more unpacked snow. No ice, no views, nice Galehead day. Thanks to the 2 groups of 5 for packing/breaking trail and others not seen today. |
