Hiking up the Pole Cat was long but nice! Most skiers were considerate, and cheered us on! Did our best to stay out of the way.
The .1 to D Peak was steep and quick; almost got a view, but mostly socked in.
Forgot how many ups and downs there were on the Wildcat Ridge! Trail was fully broken (thank you!) But still some unconsolidated snow-- definitely snowshoes, would have been post holing otherwise.
Snow was blowing in our faces pretty consistently heading back down Pole Cat, but we eventually made it back down safely. About 7 hours total at our usual, "slow" pace (a little over a mile an hour). An excellent day with two excellent ladies! |
