| Comments: |
With strong winds, low cast and snow fall, we experienced very poor visibility. About 20 hikers got to treeline, some of them to Lake of the Clouds Hut and at least six (two parties of three) managed to climb (and return from!) the summit of Monroe going from cairn to cairn. Surprisingly, most of the hikers went on boots, even if there was between 6 and 12 inches of fresh powder. |
