| Comments: |
3 hikers earlier than us broke trail up to just past the Carter Moriah junction and had turned around; thank you! We broke trail from there to Moriah summit (maybe 1.1 miles). Drifts upwards of 30" on the ridge. Lost the trail several times due to cairns being covered with snow. Continued down Carter Moriah, breaking trail until we ran into where a previous group had broken it up from Bangor Street. Extremely difficult snowshoeing due to depth of snow and looseness of the powder. Was a rewarding, albeit difficult, day. |
