| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I parked in a big plowed out area on round pond road almost adjacent to the boat ramp access road. Almost a foot of new snow in the pull out, but bombed in with no trouble with awd. Round pond road gets plowed, but was a little messy in spots. |

| Comments: |
From where I parked a walked a few minutes north on round pond road and headed up into a new cut on its south side. I started on a haul road that had been recently used and had less snow than elsewhere, but once off the road there was consistently 18-24 inches of new snow with deeper sections. Once out of the cut the woods were nice and open to the recognized highpoint. I descended in my tracks to round pond road leaving my car where it was and walking south to Cozzie Lane to access covell. I walked Cozzie to it's maintained end and continued on it for a bit with snow much like round pond. I bushwhacked up towards covell with continued deep snow and some steep going in open woods to the summit and recognized highpoint. Here I met the cohos trail which looked to have seen no recent use and validated my feeling that a direct and shorter bushwhack was the way to go. I descended in my steps with one bypass of a steep pitch to the roads and car. |
