Comments
Comments: I followed cloutiers Pit trail to corridor 142. This connector is narrow and looks to receive a fair amount of snomo traffic so hike with care. I walked north on 142 to its junction with Willies way. This soon split and I went left to follow it up to the sw slopes of cowen hill. Not much snomo action and the trail was filling up with new and blowing snow. At about 2000 ft I started a bushwhack to the peak. Probably 18-24" of new snow over base. Young hardwoods to start with more mixed forest and some spruce up around the summit. I drifted a bit to far east, but eventually corrected up to the recognized highpoint. I followed my tracks back out and then enjoyed a veggie sub at youngs store. Pittsburg was getting busy today so if hiking up that way this weekend be ready for lots of snomobiles traffic.
